UnlockThe format of this set
This set follows the official format of the TCF Canada Listening Comprehension test: 39 multiple-choice questions on recordings (messages, dialogues, interviews), of increasing difficulty from level A1 to level C2. You have 35 minutes; in real conditions, each recording plays only once, as on exam day.
The scoring scale
The score is calculated out of 699 points: questions are worth more and more points as the difficulty rises, and questions 20 to 39 make up almost 70% of the total. A wrong answer does not lose you points. At the end, you get your score, your CEFR level and your NCLC, then the correction of every question.
Our tips for this test
- Read the question and the four options before listening.
- Catch the general idea first, then the details asked for.
- If you hesitate, choose quickly: the next recording won't wait.
- Answer every question: a wrong answer costs nothing.
