The format of this set

This set follows the official format of the TCF Canada Reading Comprehension test: 39 multiple-choice questions on everyday documents (ads, emails, articles), of increasing difficulty from level A1 to level C2. You have 60 minutes, and each question has only one correct answer out of four.

The scoring scale

The score is calculated out of 699 points: questions are worth more and more points as the difficulty rises, and questions 20 to 39 make up almost 70% of the total. A wrong answer does not lose you points. At the end, you get your score, your CEFR level and your NCLC, then the correction of every question.

Our tips for this test

  • Read the question before the document: you will know what to look for.
  • Don't stay stuck for more than a minute: skip the question and come back to it.
  • Keep time for the last questions, which are worth the most.
  • Answer every question: a wrong answer costs nothing.
